Plant Medicine Guidance

Plant medicines have played a prominent role in my healing journey, guiding me through deeply profound inner journeys. Whether through intentional ceremonies under the influence of psilocybin (aka magic mushrooms) or guided Ayahuasca retreats with shamans from the Amazon Rainforest, I see plant medicines as our allies for evolving and healing. With the increased popularity of plant medicine experiences, I have discovered a need for guides in this space to ensure people feel educated to make informed choices about these powerful medicines. After studying the use of these medicines through education platforms like DoubleBlind & TripSit, I aim to provide that guidance to those seeking it.

Whether you're embarking on a journey of healing, spiritual exploration, or personal growth, I can offer resources that may guide and support you.

Why journey with plant medicines?

Healing and Growth: Plant medicines like ayahuasca, psilocybin mushrooms, and peyote have been used for centuries by indigenous cultures for healing purposes. Many people turn to these substances seeking emotional, psychological, or spiritual healing and personal growth.

Expanded Consciousness: Plant medicines have the potential to induce altered states of consciousness, providing access to insights and perspectives that may be inaccessible in ordinary waking life. These experiences can offer profound insights into the nature of reality, consciousness, and existence.

Integration and Self-Discovery: Plant medicine experiences often provide valuable insights and revelations that can be integrated into daily life for personal growth and transformation. Through reflection, integration, and continued self-exploration, you can deepen your understanding of yourself and your place in the world.

Honouring Plant Medicines and Their Custodians

The use of plant medicine dates back thousands of years and is deeply rooted in the cultural and spiritual practices of various indigenous peoples around the world. As plants offer healing and wisdom, honouring plant medicine involves reciprocating that respect with gratitude. Before you start your journey, it is important to take a moment to give thanks for the medicine you are about to work with and the traditional custodians of this medicine.

“We acknowledge and honour the rich cultural traditions and indigenous practices associated with plant medicines. We recognise the wisdom, knowledge, and stewardship of the indigenous communities who have safeguarded these sacred plants for centuries.”

Honouring the medicine’s roots and healing properties recognises its potential to facilitate physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

The Importance of Pre & Post Integration

Experiences with plant medicines can be extremely profound and even life-changing for some individuals. You may experience deeply altered states of consciousness and access parts of your psyche that have been hidden for some time. Therefore, pre and post-integration activities such as reflective writing, mentoring, preparation and harm reduction can be incredibly valuable because they help you prepare mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for the journey ahead, as well as help to facilitate the integration of insights and healing gained from the experience into your daily life afterwards. Plant medicine experiences may also be quite daunting for some people, so having guidance and support can go a long way in helping individuals overcome some of the fears surrounding plant medicine experiences.

I have created an Alchemy Journal for you to use as a guide for pre and post-plant medicine experiences. It includes information about safety and intention setting, as well as a variety of reflective exercises.
